More...mud run training!!

Our 10k mud run is only 4 weeks away!

Last week was busy and HOT, but I managed to squeeze in some workouts! YAY!

Monday ends up being my run days.  I ran 3.1 in 31:22.  I ran a 10:08 minute mile.  This is slightly faster than the previous week and I ran a slight bit further.  I am actually starting to like this running thing!!  I am used to being in the gym lifting weights!

Tuesday we (Elizabeth and I) had a fun workout with Marina Martial Arts.  One of our mud running team members owns this great studio.  We kicked some bags, and punched some mitts!  Super fun!  We were sore all over after that!

Thursday I worked out at our new location in Playa Vista!  We did a lot of lunges, jump squats and running.  Check out our schedule at Baby Boot Camp Los Angeles (Culver City & Marina Del Rey).

Wednesday and Friday - no workouts.  It was HOT and I had family in town.

Sunday I had an excellent workout at the park.  Lifted weights and did a lot of squats and push-ups (and some running).

This week (and the 3 weeks following), we better bring our A game, so we can finish strong at the World Famous Mud Run at Camp Pendleton.

Mud Run Training this week

It's been challenging this week to find time to work out, but we need to make it happen.  One, it's extremely important to get exercise to stay healthy, and two, the mud run is creeping up on us!

Monday, I ran 2.94 miles without walking intervals.  This was a first.  The key for me was that I ran at a slightly slower pace than normal.  I am going to keep my pace at this rate until I hit 4 miles, and then try to increase my pace slowly.

Tuesday and Wednesday I worked out during my class at Baby Boot Camp Los Angeles (Culver City & Marina Del Rey)

On Tuesday I taught part of class, so I didn't get a full workout because part of teaching is helping our clients with form and proper technique.

On Wednesday Elizabeth taught and I was able to get in a great workout.  She had us doing interval training and lots of running!!

Mud Run Training...here we come

Let's introduce ourselves!  We are the Baby Boot Camp Los Angeles (Culver City & Marina Del Rey) co-owners and nationally certified trainers, Elizabeth and Melinda.  We are moms that love anything health and fitness related!

We are training for the June 1st, World Famous Mud Run at Camp Pendleton.

Melinda's goal is to be able to run 4 miles, without having to walk intervals!!

Elizabeth's goals are to be able to do 3 pull-ups and 1 full (kiss the ground) push-up!!

We will be posting about our progress (and hopefully a picture or two).
